root: was born in 2017 out of the association of two renowned digital experts, Stéphane Lucien (ex-IPG Mediabrands, Space, Ogilvy, …) and Benoit Michielsens (ex-Dentsu Aegis, Havas) who decided to join forces to launch the first {local} consultancy company dedicated to
data-driven marketing transformation in Belgium.

root: provides a broad consultancy service offering mostly based on three phases (Analysis / Evaluation / Activation) to guide its clients and their business organizations through their Digital Transformation from a vision to a technological and data-driven vision and strategy. root: is active in digital data-driven transformation (AdTech & MarTech), in-housing projects and talents outplacement as well as in product development. root:’s model is all about senior consultancy, based on daily fees or fixed mission fees. No media rev-share.
Besides pure consultancy, since 2020, root: has created two divisions, alt+, a 'sales house/digital agent' division in which we represent brands as a preferred partners and put our best effort to market, sales and represent the portfolio to the whole media market as well as alt-, an alternative digital agency in which we manage digital media campaigns (paid social, programmatic and direct buys).

Root also created and launched MyAds Platform, a one-stop shop for creating and distributing premium, brand-safe and sustainable digital campaigns.
MyAds Platform was launched in 2018 in Belgium with its IMPACT version only. The ACTION version is now available in Belgium, France and Spain. The platform also provides access to the UK, Germany and Luxembourg. This international expansion will enable us to further enhance our optimization algorithms while retaining the core values of the MyAds.
